root -1 is no more

The reasons are simple:

  1. It’s hard to get across how you say it. It’s pronounced “Root Negative One,” not “Root One” or any crap like that.
  2. The domain is hard to get across without text. I mean, seriously, there’s a reason people don’t put hyphens in their domains anymore. Throw a numeral in there and the whole thing’s gone to pot.
  3. A podcasting network? Those mostly exist for advertising and marketing purposes, not for content purposes. Even the great Revision3 distributes third-party podcasts (like The Totally Rad Show). Content is my strength, not advertising.
  1. I have too many things going on and I need to consolidate.

Honestly, while I love the name (it’s an imaginary number, people!), the sheer crookedness of the domain is killing it. I think I’m just going to use blip.tv to host the podcasts and let some other enterprising young sophomore grab what’s left of root -1.

Recovering Pharisee’s going to be changing soon, too. I had a brief talk with my business partner and agreed on some significant changes. That just leaves Anticipation as the big question mark.
